Clouds, nets, and WARM!

Finally, Michigan is starting to warm up! YAY! I had the opportunity last Saturday to capture Devin and Blaze's little

family. I was so honored when asked to do these because I've never taken their pictures before! We had scheduled their session for the beginning of March, but ended up canceling. Fifteen degrees is far too cold to be comfortable to take pictures, let alone a spunky two year old a eight month old. I'm so grateful though, because the weather provided the perfect overcast skies to give the dramatic and moody look that Blaze requested!

It's starting to become fishing season in Western Michigan, they're starting to run. The dam downtown Rockford was

filled with waiters and nets. That made photoshopping fun! But that's okay, it provided entertainment for my husband and Devin, hyping up the idea of catching a big one. Something about high sixties and a clear day gives the Michiganders all the serotonin to fade away the seasonal depression. It might have been cloudy, but the warmth is welcomed in any capacity.

Kiddos add a sense of fun in any photoshoot. Little Roca was not trying to be the star of the show. He was far more interested in his dinosaurs, but hey - I don't blame him! We got through it by stretching everyone's creativity. Mr. Oakland was a champ though! He had dimples and a smile that was sooo frame worthy. I am so glad that Devin and Blaze will have these photos showing the little family that they once were! <3
