Finding Peace in Heavy Times
What an intense few days it’s been. The weight of recent world events has felt heavy and overwhelming. I know that our souls weren’t created to carry this kind of burden alone. No wonder I keep finding myself stuck and unsure of how to move forward or make sense of it all.
As I sat down to write this, one verse came to mind that brought me instant peace,
“Come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
I'm so thankful for a relationship with Jesus Christ that calms my heart when I cling to Him.
And I want you to feel that peace too. Yes, I love talking cameras and all the photo things, but even more, I love talking about the sweet gift of salvation that’s available to each of us. If you ever want to chat about that, my DMs or emails are always open.
I know this might feel a little sappy or raw, but these past events have left me emotional and aware.
“There’s a time for sorrow, and there’s a time for joy.” Ecclesiastes 3:4
And I feel, and as it says, that you need to experience both.
On a lighter note, I wanted to share a recent session from beautiful Lake Michigan. This evening was extra special due to the sky's muted and glowing red sunset thanks to smoke from the Canadian wildfires. It created a unique scene that gave the photos so much character.
Fall is coming fast, and I know I’ll soon be missing these warm, lakeside evenings. But for now, I’m soaking up every bit of it, and sharing it with you!
